Just wanted to let everyone know that we will be open as usual on Monday morning 2/10/14. We had a problem with one of our furnaces, the motor seized and sent some smoke into the infant room. There was no fire, but the fire department did come and check everything out from top to bottom just to make sure. We are fine and the furnace is being fixed right now. We did close for the day just to be on the safe side and to air out the rooms. We are so very sorry for the inconvenience to all of our families. I'm sure you all understand the need for extra caution when it comes to caring for your little ones. Enjoy your weekend and we'll see you on Monday.
Please make sure to have your order in by Tuesday at closing time! You don't want to miss out on this delicious and easy treat. The holidays will be upon us before you know it and cookie dough is always good to have on hand when you need something fast!
Mrs. Deanna is here and the Fall Music Class begins. She comes every Thursday morning for 10 weeks and spends a half hour with each class, Toddlers through Kindergarten. The children love their time with her! They get to try out different instruments, do creative movement, hear seasonal songs, learn to identify and appreciate sounds from nature, learn different kinds of music and of course sing. You haven't seen anything until you watch a room full of two year olds scarf dancing!!
Don't forget, tomorrow is picture day! If you haven't dropped off your background choice sheet, please send it in tomorrow morning. They start taking pictures at 8:00am and are done by noon. The printed packets usually come back within a few weeks. You choose which ones to keep and return the rest with your payment. It's that easy!
The center is closed Monday, Sept. 2nd for Labor Day. Hope you all have a wonderful long weekend!
Last week's carnival was such a great time! It's the one evening during the year that we get together as a center to visit and play - priceless. The boys and girls have so much fun and parents get a chance to get to know each other.
We'd like to take the time to thank everyone that contributed to our success: Allen Sprunger and family of Apple Valley Orchard who provided train rides to the children all evening. He volunteered his time, train and gas. He came even though it was his wedding anniversary! Thanks to his lovely wife, Gloria Sprunger for understanding! Miss Di for seeking out so many of the donations, planning and setting up. Michelle Lubbe for sewing all the items for the children's raffle - doll clothes, blanket and bows. The Schlicker Family for putting together the Crayola basket for children's raffle. The School Age class for decorating the Maze! It takes a village to build a two hour carnival! The fun, fellowship and memories are worth it! We're glad you could make it! It's just two days away! Thursday, August 1st 6-8pm in our play yard. We're getting ready for a whole bunch of fun! Train rides, bounce house and games galore! Our silent auction items are awesome! All of our families, past and present are welcome to come join the fellowship and good times! Feel free to bring family and friends.
$10 wrist band gets you all the riding and games you want. Any additional children from the same family are $8 each. Babies are free. We'll have hot dogs, popcorn, drinks and Kona Ice snow cones! We're so excited. PRAY FOR GOOD WEATHER!! |
