Toddler Classroom Schedule

• 6:30-7:00 Greeting
• 7:00-9:00 Playtime and snack
• 9:00-12:30 Large-muscle, paint, texture table, warm lunch by Ms. Julie
• 12:30-2:30 Nap
• 2:30-4:30 Planned quiet time, snack, large-motor
• 4:30-5:30 Free-choice learning centers, story time, creative movement
• 5:30-6:30 Children prepared for going home, room clean-up

** Toilet training occurs in the toddler room. We believe a child is physically and emotionally ready to start toilet training at 2 years.

Toddler Goals

• Develop a positive self-concept in each child
• Develop a positive and secure relationship between each child and his/her teacher and peers
• Develop better social skills
• Receive affection as well as give it
• Encourage the children to express their emotions in a positive way
• Further their development in gross and fine motor skills
• Further the development of language skills
• Advance the development of bladder and bowel control
• Provide an atmosphere where each child can function
  as a group but still be accepted as a unique individual
• Exposed to different kinds of music and literature
• Encourage independence
• Allow and encourage creativity
